Matt and Angelica were the most ideal couple I could ask for! I love when couples choose to really showcase their personalities and have fun during their engagement session. Matt and Angelica’s Modern DTLA Engagement Session

Off the bat, here’s the first thing you should know about Matt and Angelica: they know how to have a good time. What else could you expect from Aries and Leo fire signs?? From the moment we hopped on our consultation call, I knew we were a match made in heaven. Angelica mentioned how she wanted a photographer who not only could bring her vision to life, but someone who was similar to her in personality. Ohhhh man, did she get that!

One of their favorite things to do is get dressed up and go out to dinner or grab a drink (Angelica drinking anything that doesn’t actually taste like alcohol), so planning their engagement sesh at a bar in DTLA was a no-brainer. They wanted an opportunity to showcase their fashion sense and their personalities, so what better way to do that than with your engagement session? In their exact words, they wanted to feel “young, dumb, and full of life” while still being classy… I think I just found my new life motto.

Once we started hanging out during their session, it was immediately apparent that we were all going to have a great time together. Angelica and I are practically twins (if you also like to talk in a terrible British accent… come join the club) and Matt is just a super personable and funny guy. They weren’t afraid to be silly and dorky and let loose, which are some of my favorite qualities in a couple that I’m working with! Not to mention, their outfits were on fucking point – the perfect combination of stylish, modern, and classic. From Angelica’s gloves to her accessories to her heels, she looked like she stepped right out a magazine. And, of course, Matt was equally as stylish with both of his green and khaki suits!

We went to two different locations for their DTLA engagement session – first, we went to a bar, and then we took photos around downtown to get those extra candid shots. These two had absolutely no problem in front of the camera with Angelica channeling her inner IT Girl and Matt following suit! They looked so effortless and followed by gentle prompts to a T. We’re all obsessed with how their engagement session turned out!

I don’t even know where to begin. I had an idea in my head on how we want our engagement photos to come out, and my fiance and I are very awkward when it comes to photo shoots, as such. So we were hoping to get someone who can work with us 😂 KAREN KHUC though…she is the most legit, genuine, and most talented photographer you could ever want/hire. Karen went above and beyond with how the photos turned out. Beginning with how our shoot felt like a nice date for my finace and I, and Karen is just there to hang with you guys! (Given she’s taking amazing photos while hanging out) I’ve never felt more comfortable with anyone taking our photos. She’s super easy going and really knows what she’s looking for when taking photos. She managed to get the ideas in my head and translate it to her work. In the 280+ of photos she took, we narrowed our faves down to 200, which is basically all of it. LOL

She is super professional, especially with communicating, planning, and following up. My fiance and I have very busy lives, but Karen definitely extended more help to us in planning more than expected.
